Staying Organized with
Microsoft Outlook
(TM)

"How to quickly reduce your e-mail time and dramatically improve your time management skills"

"My inbox is empty for the first time ever!"

                                                          Jim Kendrick, Sales Administrator,
                                                                  North American Sales Force,
                                                                                Carquest Corp.

Here is what I have learned
I believe that the best way to use your time management and email system is to actually have  a system. I don't mean that you should go out and buy some new technology, but you should become proficient using the one that you have got and have a way of applying it..

  • Are you using the time saving features?
  • Are you using more features than you need and unnecessarily complicating things?
  • Do you have a good clean starting point to work from?
  • Is your routine working for you or against you?

There are probably dozens of ways to organize yourself, but some are too cumbersome while others may be too simplistic. Traditional approaches to time management begin with setting goals. That's good advice. Goals are important but are not where to begin if you are swamped with tasks that just have to get done. I believe that the best place to start is exactly where you are at. For most people this means finding a way to clear the decks quickly, and save time so that you can invest in your goals, and most importantly, de-stress.

What makes me an expert?
I am not an organized person by nature, and many people who are just cannot relate to the hurdles that people like me face. If you are like me then you will benefit from the same steps that I use to keep on track. If you are already organized but just need to learn to use the tools better, then you will find this process easy to get used to.

For years I have studied the habits of organized people, and broken them down into steps and processes that you and I can use to become "instantly productive."

Then I looked at how to take advantage of technology to speed things up and save even more time by automating these processes. This is not something that is going to take you a week to learn.

You will benefit immediately using this common sense approach to accomplishing more in less time using the tools that you already have while overcoming the hurdles that most people face.

If you follow along step by step you will be amazed at how quickly you can see results

Don't confuse my system with some computer training manual. What I have prepared is a concise guide for achieving business and personal results. No need to waste time figuring out how to apply a feature to your own situation. Rather than just learn how to use a new tool you produce actual results at every step so that you can quickly improve your own workspace and eliminate stress.

It's habit forming
Others have told me that if you repeat anything for 30 days it will become a habit. Create good habits for yourself by identifying the activities that you can use immediately to make yourself successful.

I have learned from many years of trial and error what habits are worth developing and which ones you should eliminate. The firsts rule that I learned is to model someone who is already successful at doing what you want to do. So many people have asked me how I eliminated my own personal email stress that I created some fantastic resources that you can use immediately.

Begin each day by following this guide:
If you do you will organize yourself immediately, and get rid of all of those piles, sticky notes, and left over e-mail messages in no time at all. In each step you use new features of Microsoft Outlook(TM).
